  • Using the perimeter of a circle formula,
  • The perimeter of a circle = π D
  • Perimeter or circumference = 22/7 × 7
  • = 22 inch.

Example 2: Find the circle's radius whose circumference of 110 inches.

  • Solution: Given: Circumference = 110 in
  • From the perimeter of a circle formula,
  • The perimeter of the circle = 2 π r
  • 2 π r = 110
  • 2 × 22/7 × r = 110
  • r = 110 × 7 / 44
  • r = 17.5 inches.
