Full form of BA
Bachelor of Arts is the full form of BA. It is a 3-year college system and is considered to be one of the most attended courses in India, with more than nine million students. BA admission is generally based on merit; however, there are some entrance tests like BHU UET, NPAT, DUET and so on.
One can pursue BA distance learning from universities like TNOU, IGNOU, KSOU etc. The duration of this distance learning course is three years, and the maximum duration is six years. BA subjects usually include English, Geography, Mathematics, Economics, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy, History, Social Work, and Home Science.
Eligibility Criteria of BA
- The basic requirement for a BA degree is to obtain at least 40 percent from a recognized university in class XII.
- If a candidate wants to study at Delhi University, Mumbai, or other elite universities, they must score more than 92 percent.
- For SC, ST, OBC, or Miscellaneous qualified candidates will get a 5% relaxation.
