The full form of the ISC is the Indian School Certificate. It applies to the Higher Secondary or Class 12 examination conducted by CISCE (Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations). The ISC exam is designed and scheduled in accordance with the current Education Policy Regulations 1986. English is a compulsory subject in the ISC Board and the test is always conducted in English, apart from the relevant language. Students who clear the ISC exam have more chances to get into an A-Level college than relevant boards and board students.
Eligibility Criteria for ISC Exam
As per the current ISC, CISCE examination policy, only Class 12 students who are attending a full-time class at any CISCE affiliated school can appear.
Under normal circumstances, distance (corresponding) course or home-educated students cannot appear for ISC exams.
