Full form of PGDM

The full form of PGDM is "Post Graduate Diploma in Management". PGDM is a full-time two-year course offered by several universities and institutes in India. This course can be divided into four or six semesters depending on the syllabus of different universities and institutes. Institutes running PGDM training are approved under Ministry of HRD, Government of India, AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education).

The course structure and subjects of PGDM almost resemble MBA (Masters of Business Administration) course. The only difference between the two is that PGDM is a post-graduate diploma course while MBA offers a degree.

Eligibility Criteria for PGDM Course

Below are the eligibility requirements for PGDM course that applicants should fulfill-

  • The applicant must be a graduate of a prestigious college or university.
  • Applicants should have at least 50 percent passing.
  • Applicants who scored less than 50 percent marks would appear for a series of entrance tests to get a place in their preferred university.
