Full form of PUC

The full form of PUC is Pollution Under Control, but can also stand for Public Utilities Commission. The Pollution Under Control Certificate confirms that your vehicle's emissions are limited and meet pollution standards. It is the official documentation provided by the administration after a comprehensive vehicle emissions check.

While Public Utilities Commission, also known as Public Utilities Commission (PUC), Public Utilities Commission (PSC) or Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (URC) is a government body. PUC certificates such as driver's license, registration certificate and motor vehicle insurance are now required to drive under the Motor Vehicle Act.

What is the content of the PUC certificate?

PUC test methodology

Below is the method to get PUC:

  • If the car is brand new, the PUC authorization will be provided by the dealer
  • You must take your car to any licensed service station where you can have it restored
  • They will examine the firing tube for the rate of emission
  • You will receive a certificate after paying the costs
