About AP SSC Class 10 Sanskrit Syllabus 2026-27
The Andhra Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (BSEAP) has designed the Class 10 Sanskrit syllabus for 2026-27 to develop students’ proficiency in the language, including reading, writing, comprehension, grammar, and literary appreciation. The syllabus balances classical literature with practical language skills.
1. Prose (Gadya)

Selected stories and essays from classical and modern Sanskrit literature

Moral and ethical lessons through short stories and biographies

Lessons highlighting social values, human virtues, and cultural heritage

Reading comprehension exercises based on prose passages
(Usually 8–10 prose lessons are prescribed.)
2. Poetry (Padya)

Classical Sanskrit poems by renowned poets

Themes include nature, devotion, morality, courage, and patriotism

Focus on recitation, pronunciation, meter (Chandas), and literary devices

Analysis and interpretation for better literary understanding
(Approximately 6–8 poems are included.)
3. Grammar (Vyakaran)

Sandhi (combining sounds) and Samasa (compound words)

Nouns (Subanta), Pronouns (Sarvanama), and Verbs (Kriya)
