NLU Delhi Eligibility Criteria for Foreign Nationals
Candidates admitted under the Foreign Nationals/NRI category are exempt from appearing for AILET 2025. However, they must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Citizenship: Candidates must possess citizenship of a country other than India to apply under the foreign nationals category.
- Educational Qualification: Foreign nationals must have the minimum educational qualifications as prescribed by NLU Delhi.
- Admission Basis: Admission for foreign nationals will be based on the marks obtained in their qualifying exams, not on AILET 2025.
- OCI/PIO Category: Candidates under the Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) or Person of Indian Origin (PIO) categories can choose to apply either as OCI/PIO or under the Indian students category. If they opt for the Indian students category, they must appear for AILET 2025.
- Selection Criteria: Selection for foreign nationals and OCI/PIO candidates is based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
- Minimum Marks: Candidates must have at least 65% in their class 12 or equivalent examination to be eligible under the foreign nationals category.
- Vacant Seats: Any vacant seats in the foreign nationals/OCI/PIO category will be treated as general category seats and filled based on AILET merit.
