About Triangle Formulas
For two-dimensional shapes, there are two basic measurements which we need to find out which are area and perimeter of a given shape. Hence, the triangle has two basic formulas which help us to determine area and perimeter.

Let a,b, and c respectively be sides of a triangle then
Perimeter of Triangle formula = a + b + c
Classification of Triangle
Triangles can be divided on basis of their side length and angle. Now take a look at table given below which shows the difference between 6 different types of triangles on basis of angles and sides.

The area of a triangle is the space covered by the triangle. It is half multiplication of its base and altitude. It is given in square units. Observe triangle ABC given below which shows the base and height of a triangle which are used to evaluate the area of a triangle.
Area of triangle
Area of ΔABC = 1/2 x BC x AD
Here, BC is the base and AD is the height of the triangle.
