CBSE Class 10 and 12 Board Exams 2026 Dates: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the official date sheet for the 2026 Class 10 and 12 Board Exams, confirming that the exams will begin on February 17, 2026. This year’s announcement is notable, as the timetable has been published 110 days in advance, giving students, teachers, and schools more time to plan studies, revisions, and assessments effectively. Earlier, while announcing the 2025 board exam results, CBSE had stated that the 2026 board exams would start in February. In line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, Class 10 students will now appear for two board exams in one academic year. This change aims to reduce exam stress and provide students with more than one opportunity to perform their best.
For the first time, CBSE had also released a provisional date sheet on September 24, 2025, nearly 146 days before the exam start date. After receiving the final List of Candidates (LOC) from schools, the board has now published the final schedule, ensuring smooth exam conduct and avoiding subject overlaps.
