Reading is Fun

Question 1: What did the wind do to get the man’s coat off?

Answer: The wind started to blow very strongly again and again, so the wind could blow the man’s coat off.

Question 2: What did the sun do to get the man’s coat off?

Answer: The sun shone as brightly as it could so that the man would take off his coat.

Question 3: Who won in the end?

Answer: The winner was the sun in the end.

Question 4: Who said this to whom–

a. “I can get his coat off more quickly than you can.”

b. “I will let you try first.”

c. “How cold it is!”

d. “I give up. I cannot get his coat off!”

e. “I have won.”

Answer:

a. “I can get his coat off more quickly than you can.” The wind said the above words to the sun.

b. “I will let you try first.” The sun said this to the wind.

c. “How cold it is!” The man wearing the coat exclaimed this to himself.

d. “I give up. I cannot get his coat off!” The wind said this to the sun.

e. “I have won.”

The sun said this to the wind.
