Congruence of Triangles is a mathematical property that describes a pair of similar triangles. If a pair of triangles have the same length and angles, they are congruent. The ASA rule applies to triangles with two sides, too, but a special case of a right triangle has another congruence condition. Fortunately, the ASA is not the only mathematical property related to triangle congruence, and there are five more.

A triangle can only be congruent if it has corresponding sides and angles. Changing the sides of the triangle will make the two parts correspond again, creating a mirror image. A triangle with three corresponding sides is congruent, and vice versa. Likewise, a triangle with two corresponding diagonals is congruent. Here's how this property works. This means that the sides of one triangle are equal, and the angle between two angles is equal to the angle of the other. If they are not, then the two triangles are not congruent. The two triangles can also be superimposed side-to-side or angle-to-angle, but their angles cannot be different.
