Topics covered in NCERT Solutions for Class 9 Maths Chapter 9 Areas of Parallelograms and Triangles.

The area of a triangle and a parallelogram depends on their base, parallels, and sides. The base area of a triangle is bxh, and the area of a parallelogram is bxh. A triangle's area is the area of its base x its height. The areas of triangles are bxh square units. You can find the areas of parallelograms and triangles by finding the area of the base x height square units

You will learn to find the areas of different plane figures, such as triangles, rectangles, parallelograms, etc. by studying some relationships between the areas of these figures under the condition when they lie on the same base and between the same parallel lines.

To determine the areas of triangles and parallelograms, divide them into equal parts. Two parallelograms ABEF and ABCD lie on the same base AB. Their areas are equal. The areas of the triangles are equal, so they are both parallel. However, the triangle's perimeter ABEF is longer than the triangle's base. Therefore, the triangles ABCD and ABEF are equal in area.
