CBSE Date Sheet 2026 Class 10, 12 Out: Download CBSE 10th, 12th Exam Dates Here

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced that the Class 10 and 12 board exams for the 2026 session will commence on February 17, 2026. Alongside the announcement, the Board also shared a tentative datesheet for these key examinations. For the first time, Class 10 students will have two opportunities to take their board exams in one academic year.

According to CBSE Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj, the first session of Class 10 exams will be held from February 17 to March 6, 2026, while the second session will take place from May 15 to June 1, 2026. The second edition will be optional, meant for students who wish to improve their scores. If a student appears in both sessions, the higher score will be counted as the final result.

Both exam sessions will cover the entire year’s syllabus, and the study scheme and exam pattern will remain the same. CBSE clarified that the second session will replace supplementary exams, serving as an improvement opportunity instead. Meanwhile, Class 12 board exams are scheduled to be conducted from February 17 to April 9, 2026.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has published the final CBSE Class 10 and 12 timetable for 2026 on its official website, cbse.gov.in Students appearing for the CBSE Board Exams 2026 can easily view and download the exam date PDF directly from the site — no login is required.

The Class 10 (Phase 1) board exams will take place from February 17 to March 10, 2026, while the Class 12 exams will be held from February 17 to April 9, 2026. All CBSE board exams will be conducted offline in pen-and-paper mode, as per the official schedule.

What are the exam timings and session details for 2026 boards?

For the CBSE Board Exams 2026 (Class 10 and Class 12), all written theory exams will be conducted in a single morning session, with the following details:

  • Session: Morning session only
  • Exam Start Time: 10:30 AM IST
  • Exam End Time: 1:30 PM IST (for most subjects, duration: 3 hours)
  • Shorter Exams: Some vocational and skill-based papers are scheduled from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM (2 hours).

For Class 10, the Phase 1 exams will cover all subjects, including core papers like Mathematics, Science, Social Science, English, and Hindi.
