“The full form of LKG is Lower kindergarten”. It is one of the main stages in the life of a child, or rather a student. Although this may be the initial stage of their schooling and learning, it is one of the most important. The things students learn there carry with them for years to come.
LKG is attended by students at such a tender age when they are extra curious about things. History
The word Kindergarten was first used by Friedrich Frobel for the Play and Activity school he founded in 1837 in Bad Blankenburg. He opened this school as a social experience for children for their transition from home to school.
The importance of lower kindergarten
In various countries including India, it is of utmost importance that a child attends LKG. The standard is not only to learn the alphabet and numbers, but also many other activities. These activities can include anything from skipping rope to identifying a shape.
