- Luteal phase: It is the postovulatory phase where the uncertainty of the corpus luteum is decided. If fertilization occurs, pregnancy begins. If fertilization does not occur, it means the beginning of the next cycle.
Risks of pregnancy during the menstrual cycle
A woman can get pregnant immediately after her menstrual cycle after cohabitation, because sperm can survive in the woman's body for up to 5 to 7 days. The time of ovulation is most likely to get pregnant, which occurs 11 to 15 days before the start of the next period.
